of the miyagi miyagi. one city reported a minor injuries, taking a look at the video, you can see it caused continuous shaking in some areas. buildings in tokyo were reportedly swaying for at least several minutes. this quake did rattle nerves in a country still recovering from the devastating earthquake and tsunami in march 2011. miyagi was one one of the areas that suffered the worst of the destruction. that quake fueled, at least 60 people died and cars boats and homes were swept away. as of right now, tokyo electric power says there are no problems at any of its nuclear plants. frank michelle. >> and we understand that you have family in japan. have you been able to talk to them at all and are they okay. >> that's right. i have my parents and aunt and uncle are stationed in japan at military bases. i was able to talk to my mother. they didn't feel the quake. they're too far south but i have an aunt and uncle in tokyo. thanks to social media i was able to see that they were okay and again, like i said it's a dramatic difference from last year when i was working a newscast and wasn't able
